HEEEELP!!! I have a singapore B7610 originally WM6.5, i love the samsung touchwiz apps.. but the problem with touchwiz on WM6.5 is the response is so slow.. to many lag.. so i flash ROM B7610XXIH1 (WM6.1)
I flash my ROM to this WM6.1 rom.. its more stable & faster.. but after flashing there are "NO SOUNDS", no ringtone, no music, no keytone, no notifications, even no start up samsung sounds, only vibrations.. except during call.. not the speaker phone, but only the listening speaker when making a call .. what should i do.. please..?? I've tried ROM B7610XXII1 (WM6.1) too, and still no sounds..
Any solution without flashing back to WM6.5?

there are sounds when i plug in the earphone btw.. not in the speaker

Maybe the answer is within the registry... Try to find someone with 6.1 ROM that has audio working and ask what registry entries is in HKLM/Drivers/Builtin/WaveDev and try applying it to the ROMs registry

Like my ROMs?

There are many ways to say thank you, one way is by clicking below

asbud, Do you have sound on 6.5? Have you tried going back to 6.5 just to make sure? Could be a hardware issue with the loudspeaker, right?

I think it's not a hardware issue, it happened to me too and flashing bac to 6.5 fixes the problem... so there's a big possibility that it's caused by a bad/wrong registry entry or missing audio driver...

Also when in Media Player options (in 6.1 H1 & I1 ROM) audio effects was greyed out...

Anybody still running 6.1 with audio here? Pls. post your reg entries for wavedev

asbud, if you're sure that it's not an hardware failure have you flashed any CSC files along? It could be that the CSC you're using is messing up the registry settings.

I think that one possibility would be that CSC (for 6.5) is somehow messing the registry settings (on 6.1) resulting perhaps in a "bad" combination between the two components.

So, what you could also try would be flashing a CSC from a 6.1 version and test if the sound was ok.

Of course that would mean loosing the current CSC unless you have that file stored or if by any chance you can get one to flash back if you come to need it later.
