hey guys im new on here. I got a samsung i617 that is messed up and it my only phone right now. it keeps telling me its in flight mode and that s/w version cannot be sshown when phone in flight mode. please guys help me. It wont even let me update it help please guys thanks

Do you have a means to possibly back up any important information (photos, contacts, notes, etc)? If this is not much of a concern, I would suggest trying to do a factory reset. What you do to do a factory reset are as follows:

NOTE: You WILL lose data that has not been saved to either the SIM card or on the computer by following these directions.
1) Turn the phone off.
2) Press and hold the up button on the scroll wheel in the center of the phone.
3) While holding the up button, turn on the phone.
4) Simply follow the rest of the directions on the phone.

This should address the issue. Please keep us up to date on your situation and I hope this has provided some help

i mean it wiil let me hard reset but it still wopnt let me make calls txt ect. I cant do anything with the phone it keeps saying its in flight mode
