In short ... I want the brightness always on and at max, I don't care about battery... I want it at max even when it's locked because the visibility at sunlight is poor and I cant see the clock when I press the front button! I can't even see where to press to unlock!

I have WM6.5... I want it on and ad max until I turn the screen off by a hardware button. I installed Advanced configuration tool and set the screen to always bright, but that didn't help. When I lock the phone its getting dimmed. Another weird thing is that the setting in Advanced Configuration Tool is getting back to dimmed after I unlock it.

Any option to turn the brightness always on max and stay that way?

No option... power settings do not affect the dimming when locking the phone.

The phone will look the same even at max in daylight ive tried it and then the prob is at night in the dark its too bright. The main problem is the lockscreen as you say its too dark for the day and this is my concern as well as its almost impossible to unlock the screen sometimes though the day. Id love to be able to change the sensitivity of the slider too (stock 6.5) if anyone knows how as I think that would help solve the problem.

I dont know what device your on but if its i900 go into setting then backlight tick manual adjustment and crank it up to max and then in Power on Battery Power untick the "turn off backlight" box.

I found no way to change sensitivity but you can change the width of the slide to make it a little easier.

The following line assume you have a lock screen with the slider near the bottom.  There are 2 numbers you can play with.  Width= is the size of the slider track.  In this example 192.  So, you could change it to say 100 to really narrow the path.  You then need to add half of what you took off the width and add it to Left= so the slider stays centered. I width of the slider icon is typically 60 so you have to stay more than that.

This entry is at the top of the "LS_LockScene_240x400.cpr" file for portrait and landscape is "LS_LockScene_400x240.cpr"

Write down the original number just in case it fails for you or yoiu simply want to go back to original.

The problem was that I unticked it and it remained dimmed always. I did reverse and I gota bright screen now, but not when locked. It's still dimmed. When full backlight I get a fair good visibility as on iPhone. I did compare them.
