[ask] how to make i617 lock on 3g mode ?

As topic, so it will force to use just 3g network instead of gsm, thanks

Can't remember the exact code but there is an 8 digit service number you can type in that does it - the number merely relates to the menu options you would have gone through in the GUI to do the same thing.....

I had to lock it to GSM to get a signal first off after entering the Cingular unlock code - my advice is find a site that sells the unlocking code and read their instructions.

The 8 digits only give 3 options

1. Auto mode

2. Gsm mode

3. Wcdma mode


There isn't any option to lock to 3g mode

WCDMA = 3G

So enabling WCDMA = locking to 3G, auto mode switches between the two.

WCDMA is 3G.

Select WCDMA only.
