I think this may well be my next phone

My milestone has taken an absolute battering in the last 7 months. Very unlike me as I'm usually so careful with my phones as I always like to sell them on before I pick up another.

I'm not sure I could go back to a phone that doesn't have a physical keyboard. I've loved having the physical keyboard on the milestone.

I know very little about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro except I like what I see. Other phones that take my fancy are the Palm Pre Plus, although I really like the look of the Windows Mobile 7 operating system so may wait and see what phones come out with that.

yeah i am interessted in a WP7 with a DPAD/TRACKBALL! i hope HTC will do some and i hope MS allows that because of their "every device with WP7 MUST HAVE THREE HARDWARE BUTTONS....

I ummed and aahhhed about which device to buy next. I've not yet decided if my Mini Pro is actually a bit too small. Gonna give it a go for a couple of weeks. Not sure want to think about WP7.

I personally would never touch another SE phone, every single one I've seen since the W810i has had numerous problems with either the screen or the keys. Not saying the X10/Mini/Pro/any of the new range are bad phones, just that SE's reputation has dropped considerably with me over the past few years...

Saying that, the X10 Mini Pro might well be their saviour

The X10 Mini Pro is a really, really nice device - I got one for my Daughter and the keyboard is fantastic. The screen is a bit on the small side but very usable. My main phone is a Desire which I got for the high resolution screen (mainly for remote support via RDP), but if I didn't need the big screen, I'd use a Mini Pro in a heartbeat

I ordered one yesterday, hoping for early delivery tomorrow before I head off for a long weekend! :-)

Good luck!

I'm a little upset now as my work tell me they've ordered my a Wildfire, so my Mini Pro may well be (somewhat reluctantly) going on eBay.

got my mini pro after a w980

I love SE,s and thought that getting a touch screen and going android i would have a go at the HTC wildfire.... coud,nt get on with it at all.

gone with the mini pro and love it big time. At the end of the day i have 2 pc's 1 laptop a ds 2 360s 1 wii .... i got enough computing devices i don't want a pocket sized laptop i want a phone that fits in my pocket but gives me some extras ... but it has to remember its a phone.

I love this phone its a true addition to the sony ericsson family ( now that i got it rooted).

i don't know if this has already been posted but i used the following to root my pro and it works a dream.

I just sold my Pulse and now have an Orange Sanfrancisco, both have decent size screens and no physical keyboard. I've been setting up my sisters new SE X10 Mini Pro recently and have to say I hate it, the screen is just too small and I don't like their custom software and the way it changes the way you interact with your homescreen. Everything just seems squashed in, hard to find and hard to use in comparison to the decent screens I'm used to. The one thing I did like was the keyboard, I read a review that said it was unusable unless you have tiny fingers but I find it ok and my fingers are not tiny.
