Also had it from when did goldcard then installed first rooted rom. Upgraded then downgraded recovery still won't go. Everything works ok though.

Still like to know what it means and the implications. I've got a 16gb sd card in .

Ok, so do this:

1. Install RUU-2.73.405.5 exe can be from HTC website(You need GoldCard)

link: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Hero...ed_NoDriver.exe

2. Install Instant Root

3. Install Recovery Flasher

4. Install Recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img

5. Reboot in recovery mode - if You have error: Can't read MISC(No space left on device) go forward:

6. Copy misc.img and recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img to your SDCard

misc.img is here: http://content.modaco.net/dropzone/nandroi...6.405.6_WWE.zip

7. adb shell

8. su

9. mount /sdcard

10. cat /dev/zero > /dev/block/mtdblock0

11. dd if=/sdcard/misc.img of=/dev/block/mtdblock0

12. flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img

13. reboot recovery

Then error with MISC should gone.

Unfortunately the above mentioned htc rom won't load. Bootloader won't work says error 171 . The android recovery screen shows HUU.

Tried a zip rom 1.76 an early one anyway and then but still the same.

Downgraded recovery to amon 1.5. then back to 1.6.2 still no joy.

Can you do it through a terminal emulator ?

What does this error do? Does it mean that Apps 2 sd will not work?

New roms load fine still.

Thanks.

Thank you for reply. The problem is when I run the command in step 10:

CS0.12124437_1_1.png

Or sometimes if I can mount sdcard, then nothing happend when enter "cat /dev/zero > /dev/block/mtdblock0", a blank line after that. Is there any message after that command?

Go to step 11.

....................

adb shell

flash_image misc /sdcard/misc.img

adb shell reboot recovery

Then error with MISC should gone.
