For the life of me the camera button will not take a pic it just makes the red then green focus box come up and to take a pic I have to press the on screen button, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It's a two stage button, first half press is focus, then a harder press is the shutter. It's not great imo, I have to press mine quite hard to take the picture, which often results in a bit of camera shake.

agreed, it would be nice to have an option to override the half/focus half/click option, it's tough to hold it steady as the button has a fairly firm click, having said that the dual xenon flash are very bright and the video quality seems pretty okay given the 640x480 res, anyone know if the hardware is capable of higher res recordings?

Hopefully 720p recording will be enabled with custom roms like the nexus one!
