I think there's a few people having problems with the trackpads...If they're not lasting that long might be better staying with the power button lol

Btw. happy to see my thread over here :(

I've modified my phones so the "power button" "home button" and "menu button" wake my phone and double tap on the menu wakes the phone without the need to "swipe to unlock"

works fine and was really easy to do, let me know if you need any help!

andy ;)

Yes i know about keylayout. But the idea behind this was to wake up the phone ONLY with trackpad, so it won't unlock in pocket.

Hey. I'm really interested in using my 'home' & 'menu' buttons to wake up my (newly) rooted desire on r3.1.

Can you please let me know how to do this??

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just installed an update.zip file by kingchris from here hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683902&page=3 and it works perfectly!
