and the orange one seems to like to kick in the operator network, even when trying to select wifi (according to a friend who has one), and this seems in line with other orange LG phones.
he's since returned it, and bought an o2 one, which apart from the pre written apn's and bookmarks, seems fairly untouched.

Well, it might work, but it's not extracted properly by the version of KDZ updater that I have at least.

Hello, Does the baltic roms have english language in them. LGMobile update (LGUserCSTool) has recognised the kdz file and is syaing i can update will it complete it or will it error.

That o2 file, is bog standard V10A and should be signed May 13th, as mine is, and it won't let me update, telling me it's the same software as installed.
At least it was on mine, which i got on day of release, and my friends who got his a few days ago was the same.

hecatae informed me that the Balkan one does indeed have english on it, BTW.

date of the baltic firmware is 17 May 2010

I have put the baltic update on my gt540go and it isnt any different from the o2 rom just a little faster

Yup, I'm waiting for V10G to see any difference

edit just bricked my gt540 using the dev/zero method, lg have disabled fastboot, screen goes LG logo to dim lit black screen

I bricked mine before trying to flash the German update onto it, but with KDZ updater it's possible to flash it back if you boot into emergency mode.

emergency mode is not wanting to work.

kdz fw upd has a decrypt error on every kdz file

@TheLostSwede can you upload your .dlls that you have included with kdz_fw_upd

Have you installed the LG USB drivers? It seems like you're missing something like that.
