Custom kernel for Éclair (LCR v1.7 and 1.6)

Hey there,

I built a custom kernel from LiquidE.

Sources are mostly untouched, I just added the missing files for netfilter, and changed the clock

The source tree is available in http://gitorious.org/liquide/kernel in the eclair branch

The boot.img is based on LCR v1.7, if there is strong demand for other base, I can do it.

So here are the main changes:

-880Mhz @ 1.25V (or other freqs if specified))

-Enabling of swap

-Included tun/tap driver (not as a module)

-dhd.ko is automatically updated in the boot.img (no need to push it by hand)

-Full iptables (I don't think there is anything I didn't tick :D)

-Changed idle settings to something more aggressive.

Flash it as a normal update.zip (still not signed  )

For LCR1.7 880MHz:

For LCR1.7 920MHz:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...-920-lcr1.7.zip

For LCR1.7 920MHz + ramzswap + TS fix + SVS:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...TSfix+SVS-2.zip

For LCR1.7 998MHz:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...-998-lcr1.7.zip

For LCR1.7 998MHz @ 1.3V + static voltage scaling + ramzswap + TS fix:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...e-998-1.3-2.zip

For LCR1.7 1190MHz:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...90-lcr1.7-2.zip

For LCR1.6:

http://acer-liquid-froyo.googlecode.com/fi...date-lcr1.6.zip

For 1.100.15 (extract it on windows and launch .bat) (thanks piter1225):

And

Anything else ? :D

Work´s great! (also for 1.100.15)

Thank´s for your work!

EDIT:

What about under-clocking (128MHz to save battery)?

Thank you again.. My liquid runs now like a wind

+1 for LCR 1.6. Will it work on it?

Damn! Infinite boot loop again

Is it nescesary to have LCR-1.7 flashed before applying this patch?

P.S.: tried to apply patch on the leaked 1.100.15 AAP.

Barnacle Wifi Tethering works.

Man, as I promised you on Twitter, I owe you a pen, now you can finally sign your updates.

disc-2gb-pen.jpg

Here are the steps to have Barnacle working:

1. install barnacle wifi tethering from market

2. install "Wireless tether for root users" from market (this is NECESSARY as it installs some needed binaries such as iwconfig)

3. run barnacle wifi tethering

4. ???

5. PROFIT!

I forgot to say that you must also run Wireless tether for root users. The first time you run it it crashes (Force closes), then you can run it and click on the big wireless button. It will crash another time but it had the time to install the binaries.

After that, barnacle works.

Is it very hard for you to port your work to stock .05\.15 firmware?

Piter1225 already did :D'. And it's already in first post.
