yeah just need to rename it.

but try and check the file size on the zip file on the internal sd as i had the same error first time since my update.zip file had a size of 0 bytes...

Just simply rename the original file to update.zip.

FK it. Thanks for trying, impossible to install x64 drivers.. couldn't even get the x86 drivers to work in XP vmware..

Have you installed the Kies application, this installs a vast amount of USB drivers to cater for the phone in all it's various states.

I'm running on W7x64 with no issues and using the Android SDK to access adb.

When i connect the phone to the pc it gives me a letter (N:) right there i have to put the file right not in the hidden map called "sd" right?

Yes, copy it to N:\ not N:\sd

Must stupid mistake ever!!!!! renamed it update.zip wich ended up in update.zip.zip
So it never saw the file!

Already installed your custom ROM and everything is OK, but the Samsung Live Wallpapers (Aurora, Dandelion and Blue sea) have graphical glitches.

Do you have the same problem?

Hi Paul, Great work, thanks for being so quick creating a custom rom. When flashing the firmware is it ok not to install the CSC_I9000SERJF3.tar so as not to get the Russian language, also under the Privacy folder settings in other android phones the user can select to back up all settings to their google account, as this is missing on this phone is it possible that it can be added in one of your modifications. I am allways changing phones and this function saves a lot of hassle. Thanks again for the great work

Oh FFS! Thank you thank you thank you! That did it. I had uninstalled Kies since it seemed useless. Flashing as we speak!

Yes i can confirm i've got same problem with above samsung live wallpapers.

Great work Paul!

Everything seems to be working fine until I try to downloas apps from the market. They would start downloading and then say "download unsuccessful", which is a bummer... I was very exited to finaly see all my purchased apps for the first time on the Galaxy S.

Is anyone having the same problem? I tried connecting through Wifi and 3G... same result.
