You can't totally remove media player "By disabling MediaOS packages" as it's needed for ringtones and others ... But if you want to disable it you need to activate "Dummy MediaOS  - Disable MediaOS First" package in Addons "It worked but did not test it since long time" ...

this thread is cool , and the stuff is really cool... i had that yonn but the ROM now is unbootable.. just stuck on the splash screen very bad.. yonn i think nice to share other an official winmo 6.5 i900 too on the 1st page.. i have it but my internet connection is so slow.. so i can't upload it..

As Yonn said, the M2D package is dodgy. I've substituted it with a package created by Nicklashidegard and now M2D loads. However I still cannot get Audio Manager and Camera Album to work with M2D, it generates and error that it cannot be found.

Again thanks for this great kitchen and I'm slowly grasping the whole cooking concept

It took a while for me to download the kitchen, and I just have some time to play around with it.
I'm a newbie in ROM building and not a techie, but this kitchen is very user friendly, and made my 1st 6.5.3 ROM in short time

I have a newbie question :  I'd like to remove such apps as IE  but it shows warning error : removing essential package may cause ROM malfunction. Could you tell me, which 'essential' packages are safe (no malfunction) to remove?

u can remove the ie with the registry hack to remove ie first.. and well done.. u cant update weather on m2d , search for update apps.. because ie is the essential apps for many programs...

as i know.. and tested it, the essential program u can remove is Chome, bronze, FWUPDATE(need mod on Addons @ EXT Packages), Riched20, SQM(need mod on Addons @ EXT Packages),MediaOS(need mod on Addons @ EXT Packages), MediaOS files(if u dont want mp3 ringtones).
its safety to remove because i dont very needed it on my ppc...

I'm also, my internet provider capped my internet speed to 128/64 kbits so can't upload a thing ... Bu  what do you mean by "official winmo 6.5 i900i"?

You need to add OEM_Lang_0413 "or rename it and edit initflashfiles to match dutch folder names" into:
OSkitchen\Sources\Devices\Samsung SGH-i900\OEM Packages\Samsung SGH-i900 Packages\

and also you need to added dutch locals of the build to
OSkitchen\Sources\Windows Mobile Builds\*413

where * is MS build number ...

My internet speed is slooooow now, if I regain speed I'll be uploading initflashfiles.dat and more Detailed information...

Riched20 in 6.5.3 builds is important "for messaging and html", don't delete it...

For SYS packages:
- FWUPDATE and SQM are essential packages and you can't un-tick them without including the dummy packages in addons..
- If you want to remove Titanium: un-tick bronze* and chome package...
- IRDA is not needed as out Omnia don't have infrared so un-tick it ...
- You can't remove BROWSING* Packages as they are needed for messaging and html handling but you can un-tick "browsingie" Only as it represent the new internet browser files...
- If you want to remove MS Media-Player, you must tick "Dummy MediaOS" in addons or phone will not be able to play ringtones...

Other useful packages can be deleted BUT check description carefully as some of them represent basic needed functions Bluetooth, Camera, Phone ... etc

How did you managed to get so much free memory? o.O Teach me!!

I can confirm that removing mediaOS and enabling the dummy in ext works fine. I kept mediaOSFiles as I use mp3 ringtones. I have also removed bth_hid. I'm wondering if I can remove confettiCore too as titanium is already out...

LZX comppression.. more slow but more memory.. removing some apps on OEMApps (use ur own risk) removing some sys packages, no EXT packages (just addons and registry tweaks) .. and DONE...

hmm confettiCore i think dont try to remove it.. as i see its hardware acceleration so i will not remove it.. but i see from another build wm 6.5 build 21908 COM2 not see thats option and files.. ~.~ so.. very confused..

something always pops up with M2D

i've switched from wozzer's kitchen to this and i have to say this is A LOT easier.. but one thing i can't even figure out and it's so basic haha, how on earth can i get a theme i want to be default when i first boot a ROM i make on my i900? I can't even use the reg+csc trick which i could in Wozzers kitchen before, there's no CSCconfig file oddly enough in this kitchen.

so if anyone can shed some light would be great. Oh and the default wallpaper too

However, since I eagerly want to flash my *boner* ROM & I think as long as I didn't touch the boot part, worst thing is I have to reflash it with a working ROM - I took the risk.  And yes, my phone only went to Samsung Omnia Logo and I have to reflash it .... :grin:

I'll use your suggestion above on my next ROM project.

BTW , Yonn, please give us some brief tutorial on importing other WM builds into this kitchen. I have search WM builds from Da_G, Monkeybape and DFT but then I don't know what else to do to make it like your existing project. Tried to read on XDA about oskitchen, but it's too complicated for me.

Ok I managed to get 21908 to 74mb free/27mb used with xpr and 6mb pagepool!! No issues so far but it's not completely tested.

Confetticore is needed. I couldn't manage to find out what it's used for. I read "...rendering core for 6.5 chome" instead of chrome so i though it was useless without titanium. oh well ...But I do have it in the 6.5 sys list. It's odd you don't see it o.O

If you take out mediapos you can safely disable drm too

Disable rotation animation is not working. Is it based on ock's cab? I have tested that cab in other peoples 6.1/6.5/6.5.x roms and it wouldn't work. It's ock rom only somehow.

this might be handy for editing initflashfiles.dat

I also haven't figured out how to set a default theme but you can always replace the files in the default theme folder. It's dirty I know, but it should work

I forget to update the registry that's why, replace app.reg in:
Yonn_OSkitchen\Sources\Devices\Samsung SGH-i900\EXT Packages\Manila2d Package\PACKAGE_TF_HTC_2DManila_Dopod_2_0_20134121_00

with app.reg in attachment "extract it first" and the new manila2d "now HTC called it Sense in this new version from dopod" will load OK..

Nothing special with this new version except that you now can disable weather plug-in "Home and tab" by registry .. Due to name changed to Sense some tools like M2d today can't recognize it...

If you want the older working version, then download and add this to Manila2d Package folder "you can delete PACKAGE_TF_HTC_2DManila_Dopod_2_0_20134121_00 if you want":-

NOTE:
- OmniaLITE lsoma is not compatible with "HTC audio manager" and "HTC photo album" ... So you decide either to not use audio manager and photo album "By using i900 lsoma" Or Use OmniaLITE stuff like Jinbox and Omnia Settings "by using OmniaLITE lsoma"...

Thanks to airxtreme it's getting more easier, the latest version > Here < include search and edit function "no need to leave the kitchen now" ...

you can use your older csc file and edit EXEcutor to include it , I prefer using the provxml "it never fail me" goto Themes and examine the content ... you can get provxml from reg by using "rgu-2-xml-v2.exe" ... For wallpaper just add stwater_240_400.jpg and stwater_400_240.jpg to a package that execute last "in themes folder i.e."

If it stuck on logo, then an essential package is not ticked or replaced by dummy from addons

Thanks for clearing that up about HTC Photo Album and HTC Audio Manager. Shame we can't cook them in with the Lite stuff. However I've found installing Photo Album via the cab seems to work for me.

Also any idea on how to change the default Samsung splash screens when turning the phone on and off?
