Hi, I have 2 questions. How can I add info to my contacts, as Birthday's, addresses, etc. Not in google or facebook contacts, but the general one on the phone? Second question, my WIFI does not recognise my home wifi. I have adjusted router, but I just does not show up. 3rd question, how can I make sure that I don't get charged data usage, so can I turn this on and off at will? I have phone for 2 days and already used 50 MG of date. Thanks

1. Your contacts are on SIM or already copied to handset memory?

2. When you say does not recognize, you mean that GT540 cant see SSID of your WiFi or unable to connect to it?

3. Menu>> Settings>>Wireless Control>> Remove the tick from "Mobile network" and you will not be using Mobile data

1. I dont think your contacts are on the phone memory, they are displayed on the phone but stored on your SIM card. Therefore, when contacts are stored on SIM you cannot add extra fields (depends on SIM card thou). To fix that, do as follows:

- tap on Contacts>> tap MENU>>select "Change Location">> Copy to Phone>>select the contacts you want to copy or, tap MENU and "Select all">> hit Copy to Phone" button

- after that, go into your contact that is copied into phone memory and add the extra fields

2. IS your WiFi SSID visible from other devices? make sure SSID broadcast is set on your WiFi

It is up to you if you want to use APNDROID, personally I dont use it

Great, I will try soon (don't have phone with me now) I have been trying to figure this out yesterday.

WIFI SSID is hidden now, but I did make it visible yesterday and it still did not work. Did I have to restart phone or something? There does not seem to be a online help desk anyware here in Australia for this phone. Thanks for your help

No need to restart, and sure there is online help desk, just call "1300 LG CARE" (1300 54 2273)

Alternative way, read your user manual :(
