Guest sniper3359
finally i managed to Downgraded my desire thanks god. But i got one small problem thats looks like no one had it before ... if u got: (usb broke, sd card broke, wifi broke, reboot loop) and a message say on the desire screen“Process system is not responding (with ‘force close / wait’ option)" then the best way first to insert the goldcard in the phone and run the official RUU to downgrade in to ur phone and what i mean of official RUU is the ROM that ur phone had it when u bought it. if ur phone is T-mobile debranded phone. you got 2 options: RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.15.110.11_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122755.exe or RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.21.110.4_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.0 6.00.02_2_release_127570_signed.exe and to know which one is better check the radio on ur phone is it say (Radio_32.30 or Radio_32.36) then flash the RUU depends on those result..but if u done other RUU such as RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4 u may face this message: error [140] BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again Note: read the entaire Post #54 and Post #56 witht the problem i had in red and how i fix it. Now the problem i got is i cant do official OTA of froyo 2.2 i got now on my phone: Android version: 2.1-update1 Baseband version: 32.36.00.28u_4.06.00.02_2 Kernel version: 2.6.29-0cb9f166 htc-kernal@and18-2 #1 Build number: 1.21.405.2 CL174215 release-keys Software number: 1.21.405.2 Any one know why i cant have OTA froyo with this Build number i think before i done it with this build number. why now it wont work it say there are no updates available for your phone. this link is for: official untouched HTC Desire RUU ROM updates Official HTC Desire RUU ROMS and OTA Update (1) or Official HTC Desire RUU ROMS and OTA Update (2) Edited August 4, 2010 by sniper3359

Guest browners
hi browners can u till me how did u fix it...have you done the OTA to get the froyo 2.2 and then ur device stop recognize ur SD card and the wifi stop working can u till me in which way did root ur device Please Well I just went through the Root process again, had to try several methods as the phone was looping during boot etc. Then when rooted I performed a full wipe. After that I downloaded the signed HTC Rom listed in the post above, connected the phone to the laptop and pressed install. That then un-rooted it with a full legit version of HTC Rom and Firmware. This was all done with the GOLDCARD inserted. I then as said above kept the Goldcard in, connected my WiFi and manually checked for an update. The update installed and I rebooted. 2.2 installed perfectly. I then removed the Goldcard and put my everyday SD card back into the phone.

Guest JustinN
Orange UK Debranded and unlocked. OK so heres a Different solution... after the OTA Failed and I got the 1-100% count with errors and no radio. I did the following to fix: *use at your own risk* I think I already had the WWE_1.21.405.2 with 4.06 radio so did not bother with the RUU a second time, just downloaded: http://liveimage.htc.com/OTA_Bravo_Froyo_H...bcrut4wrv30.zip renamed as update.zip copied onto gold card put gold card in phone rebooted holding back selected bootloader then recovery pressued up and power to get menu selected Load update.zip at end of update (when prompted) rebooted from menu. waited while green update screen showed. phone rebooted itself came back up with no signal upon unlock it did the 1-100% count took a while but no errors this time. eventually it displayed a sucsessful update message and all is hunky dory. now shows as: Android 2.2 Baseband Version 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20 replaced my usual card. seems to have kept all my settings and data. So maybe No need to reset/wipe and no need for the RUU. *use at your own risk* P. Worked an absolute charm (also on Orange UK Debranded and Unlocked). Thank you! Guest bjokro
Had same probs as above Entered recovery and did full wipe, then reboot Removed SIMCARD and inserted GoldCard Downgraded to 2.1 using RUU Did OTA update to froyo 2.2 left goldcard in and sim out until it updated after reboot Removed GoldCard and Replaced SimCard All running fine now Hi, I have the same problem and understand most of the steps. But I was wondering, how did you do the "Downgraded to 2.1 using RUU" part? Do you need to root the phone? How can I downgrade to 2.1? I tried rooting the phone, but it restarts every 2 minutes so that gives me a very limited timeframe to copy files on the phone etc. So that did not work for me. I was able to create a gold card, but I do not know which files to copy on the card. It would be very nice, if somebody could point me in the right direction. Cheers, bjokro
