Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is...

ConnectBot

What they say

ConnectBot is a powerful open-source Secure Shell (SSH) client. It can manage simultaneous SSH sessions, create secure tunnels, and copy/paste between other applications.

This client allows you to connect to Secure Shell servers that typically run on UNIX-based servers.

What we say

It's surprisingly difficult to find a decent SSH client on a lot of platforms, thankfully on Android we have ConnectBot. :) It's very fully featured and best of all free, even providing secure tunnel support. The on screen gestures are cool too.

The best out there! :D Check out AndFTP if you need access to a remote SFTP server.

Suggested improvements for the next version

It's not clear the difference at the moment between the versions on the Market and the versions on Google Code. The startup process needs updating a bit to cover non-keyboarded devices. :D
