Just flashed this myself. Speedier and running very well. Doesn't seem to need a lag fix as of yet.

give us some more feeback after a couple of days. Every new flash is snappy.

I'll be very interested to see whether the GPS has improved tomorrow, there's a noticable difference between the Nexus One GPS and the Galaxy S in terms of accuracy.

So the GPS only works when I enable the "Use wireless networks" seriously, I waited for 5 mins before enabling that and all of a sudden I get 9 satellites in about 30s.

I'm not very happy that the update wiped everything.

Neither am I happy that Samsung shipped the phone a corrupted internal SD card, I had to format it before I could get their blasted host software to see it

Doug,

I have the bell galaxy s as well. I have a few questions if you dont mind?

Did they state what this update is supposed to address?

It appears to have wiped all of your apps. Please confirm.

Did the update add any more bell crapware or apps?

Thanks

1. No (very annoyed)

2. Yes

3. No, standard crapware is still there

Not much help I'm afraid, but that's why I've always preferred Open Source/Community projects, because they TELL you what the fixes are. Also, Kies needs to die, OTA updates should be enforced by Goole

JH2 is available for anyone without kies here:

http://samsung-firmware.webs.com/samsungi9000.htm

Use Odin to flash it. (Odin not much better than kies in my opinion.)

I wonder if you didn't flash the csc part if that would get rid of the bloatware.

Link not working for me any chance of another one, been trying to find this one for a couple days now to try it out. Normal listing under I9000 on samsung-firmware.com is not showing the JH2 update as listed :D

thanks
