problem rooting vodafone 845

Hi,

I'M attempting to root VF845 using the superboot app for the pulse mini.

PC runs WINXP SP2 . Follwed instructions in the post but i cannot get past the 'waiting for device' on pc.

When the phone is on the usb connects fine and i am able to transfer files and use the pc suite.

But when i put phone in bootloader mode, nothing happens. just the hourglass screen.

I think that the usb driver not picking up the fone.

In bootloader mode it sometimes picks up an unknown device- android 1.0 device but cannot find the drivers to install,

even when searching the internet.

So far i've tried this on 2 computers but all with the same result.

If its a usb driver issue, is there anywhere i can download the proper driver?

Can anyone out there help?

Thanx.

Finally Success!

The only way to solve the driver issue was to do a clean install of Windows.

Then i installed the software suite and drivers.

From then on it was smooth sailing.

Now i have Mr Edition Rom on it.

Way much faster and less bloated than that vodafone crap!

Keep it up.
