But on the first page it says "Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz"
And yes, it is my dream phone too. I hate AT&T for skipping on Android and going for WP7, which isn't even "born" yet.

That is the one area HTC went wrong.

Apple/Nokia/Acer are all making phones with quad band HSPA (well Acer is tri-band but I have found the 1900MHz band to be very strong on AT&T).

Hell even the Motorola Backflop is Quad-Band HSPA.

Damn it HTC, release the Desire HD in the US under AT&T, not the Desire Z...

It should since it's a quad-band phone.  Frequencys are: GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.  It should work on both AT&T and T-Mobile in the states.  Assuming it is unlocked of course.

Those frequencys are for the "High Speed" bands of HSPA/WCDMA.  The regular 2G and 3G are Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.

If it said GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, I would agree.

Right.  Sorry.  I did mean only 2G with those.  After I read up on it I realized it.  3G and "4G like" speeds won't work in the states.

LATER THIS YEAR? YES!

Hopefully its AT&T. Tho I did read somewhere that Verizon is getting a phone called the HTC Merge which looks awfully similar to this one.
