Guest hobochangba
Hi, So far I've had a Dell Streak, Sony X10 Mini Pro and a HTC Desire I really like the Desire but have discovered a few big problems that I simply cant live with Namely terrible multi touch support that cant even handle two fingers and a bluetooth stack that wont let me connect a wii remote to compensate for the crap multi touch. So I'm now looking at the Galaxy S as a possible next phone. I see its rootable, and flashable. I've seen a vid on youtube showing off five point multi touch  Are there any annoyances that a potential buyer might want to know about before getting one? Also does anyone want to swap their unlocked/o2 Galaxy S for an unlocked HTC Desire? Cheers! EDIT: oh yeah...whats the lag issue? EDIT: oh yeah...whats the lag issue? I got my Galaxy a week ago and am still on stock ROM (JM1). The problem you might encounter on Galaxy (let's say 50/50 chance) is to get a phone that doesn't support the 3br (3 button press to Recovery/Download Mode), but again easy fixable following the instructions here (you can even fix e-fused models following instructions here). Regarding lag I barely noticed it when doin some heavy multitasking, but it can be easily fixed as there are multiple solutions out there (best one AFAIK is Voodoo lag fix, which is at Beta 4, final version being worked on). The Desire is a quality piece of kit so I'm not expecting anything of that standard

The Desire is a quality piece of kit so I'm not expecting anything of that standard the back-cover is a little cheap (plastic). the front (glass) is gorilla glass and has yet to get a single scratch on my 2.5 month old sgs so thats very nice. the aquard thing about the front is that while the glass is scratch-prove the home-button is not  ... it's not as solid built as the desire but i'm satisfied with the quality. You can check the gorilla glass durability/scratch/drop test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xASJobjD68.
Guest Speckles
I dropped mine on a concrete floor a few times (by accident) but the back has never come off yet, despite how flimsy it seemed the first time I put it on. The screen (nor back) doesn't have a single scratch on it yet.
