Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is...

AndFTP

What they say

AndFTP is a FTP, FTPS and SFTP client. It can manage several FTP configurations. It comes with both device and FTP file browser. It provides download, upload and share features with resume support. It can open, rename, delete, cut/copy/paste and more. SSH RSA/DSA keys support. Intents are available for other applications.

What we say

An extremely accomplished FTP / SFTP / FTPS client. Coupled with Connectbot, I have all my remote server management needs covered.

Suggested improvements for the next version

The UI could do with a lit bit of polish and some more consistency with standard Android UI, but it's a great app nonetheless!

The Market link is wrong, it includes the AppBrain.com domain!

I noticed because in the App on my phone, the button View in Market won't open it correctly.

Please repair, and I hope such a repair will also show up in the App-of-the-Day app. If not, then maybe it's time for a new App-of-the-Day app version :-)

Speaking of new versions: could you please implement an "auto start" option for the App? I'd like to see it daily, even when I don't think of starting the App myself.

Thanks,

Pjotr

This has always worked great with DSA/RSA SFTP for me. Especially handy if I want to start a torrent at home and haven't got the connection speed to VNC -- I just grab the torrent file directly from the net onto the phone and upload it to a specific folder to start it off.
