It's New Zealand Vodafone ROM, not Vietnam

GT540 AVNZTS VNZ/VODAFONE(NEW ZEALAND) CDMA
notice that it starts with GT540 and ends with CDMA
GT540 AVNMAP VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMAPI VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMBK VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMBKI VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMTS VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMTSI VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMWP VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

GT540 AVNMWPI VNM/VIETNAM CDMA

Codes for Vietnam are AVNMAP, AVNMAPI, AVNMBK, AVNMBKI, AVNMTS, AVNMTSI, AVNMWP and AVNMWPI.

None of them worked for me (v10A)

I have wrote to LG Support and It has been comfirmed that this update is not official and will void your warrenty if you break your phone doing it.

LG Updates will come through an OVER THE AIR update not a computer update.

Sure they do...that's why all their previous GT540 1.6 updates have been done on a pc, with software(like LG updater) and downloading updates from their servers...

And even official updates have bricked peoples phones...

Id like to know where you got your info from LG saying you have to do an 'Over The Air' update on the GT540 when LG has dissabled it!!

Good one, Not!

Lol B)

True, as not 1 single person has said they had to do an OTA update.

I can't see it happening - o2's data lines would be in meltdown, and peoples monthly limits for calls/data, would be mad.

maybe if this was HTC, then yeah..but 2.1 is an official update, as it comes from the official site..
