ok so I have had my phone for 3 weeks. i just rooted it today using unrevoked. worked great.

then after some research i found this rom and downloaded the following

r8-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-signed.zip

copied it to my phone and went through the process of installing it.

the phone rebooted and hangs at the htc screen.

only way I found to get it back working is to pull the battery and restore my backup.

any suggestions on how to get this installed. i want to try this rom. it looks to be the best.

How long was it "hung" as the rom takes a good 10 - 15 minutes on the first boot? As above also, did you do a full wipe?

David P

I did not do a full wipe. I didn't think that was neccessary.

if i do a wipe, what about the apps that I have. should I back them up with titanium? Will that allow me to restore my apps and data?

update

now I did a wipe from the recovery menu and tried again. I let it sit for almost an hour and a half and still the same thing. just sat at the bright htc screen.

any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Not sure what ROM you are using. Maybe there is something wrong with that? Why don't you try baking yourself a new one in the R9 Kitchen?

Kiran

I was using the pre baked one with just the additions. not the one with a2sd.

i would try baking myself one but i'm not a paying member and don't want to pay yet till I know that it will work and that I like it.

Can anyone else help?

OK so I finally watched there whole process. this is what I saw.

formating boot

writing boot

extracting radio image

e: multiple firmware images

e: can't store radio image

e: failure at line 398

write_radio_image package:radio.img

installation aborted

any ideas on how to fix this and make it work
