There is an article on liliputing.com introduced that Sansung launched a new Galaxy Tablet with Wifi and it would be

charged for $500. Well, it's good news for Android fans around the world to see Samsung finally unveils a new model

of its tablet.

While I also noticed there is a comment poited that this price for a wifi tablet is incredible and listed another wifi tablet

just for $229. I went to that site and found it's true there is a wifi Android 2.2 tablet but much cheaper.

So, that price is really attractive. I just wonder how that site can charge so low for a wifi Android 2.2 tablet.

They're a generic Chinese "wholesaler", this tends to mean a fairly low quality product, but they may well surprise you. It's a resistive touchscreen rather than a capacitive one (so no multitouch). It also has no camera (not a big deal), and is only an 800x600 screen (albeit an 8" one).

Only 800Mhz CPU, although it's a Cortex A8.

It does however supposedly support standard external USB accessories which is a big deal, can plug a USB mouse/keyboard straight into it (via an included adaptor perhaps?)

With the listed features, $229 direct-from-manufacturer seems like a pretty fair price as long as the quality is ok. The iPad and the Tab don't _need_ to be as expensive as they are, no doubt they're making good profit from each unit sold, these guys are selling direct so there's no middle-man involved to put markups on.

They've copied the iPad "Home" button so they're hoping to catch the clone market. Only NZ$320-ish landed, should even get through Customs without being charged extra tax. Hmm....

I'm kinda tempted to buy one just out of interest. They're PayPal verified so as long as you pay via that you're safe from a financial standpoint, it's just the quality of the product you have to worry about.

Their shipping costs are very reasonable to, quoted US$16 to ship from China to New Zealand, $245 total.

I'm just ordering a couple of small cheap things from them (an Android figurine and a little bluetooth keyboard), will see what the service is like, if all goes well and the items are legitimate and ok quality considering the price, then I might have a look at one of these tablets.

I ordered one of the little green Android figurines, some of those mini depth-charge looking battery powered speakers and a mini-bluetooth keyboard from them. All items arrived here in about 10 days, and they're all good quality legitimate items. I might bite the bullet and try to get one of their tablets, they all seem to be resistive which is a bit of a downside, but for the price that's not a big deal.

I do think it's a good deal to order some latest electronics from these online store. Though there are maybe some defects of items , the prices are really worth experiencing

latest tech. development.

There is a deal about this tablet on fatwallet and I checked but found the price is $168 now. Probably because of it's an unbranded Chinese tablet. Anyway, it's truly a deal.
