Bell now has a hsdpa / umts network 850 and 1900 mhz. I just bought the Desire z (G2) and am loving it. not much in the way of customization yet though.

awesome. How do you like the keyboard? How's the speed? Does it have a front camera?

the Desire Z wont go to the USA, only canada.

the G2 is the same phone but no sense UI and is already available on t-mobile only.

they only support as follows:

Desire z: with sense ui

HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz

GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

T-Mobile G2 without sense ui

Band (frequency)

GSM:850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;

UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)

hope this clarifies what you are asking. but i do believe that the great developers will hack this phone as htc have annoyed everyone with the protection they have put on the phone, and once it has been hacked with a custom recovery the G2 will get sense ui for sure and the desire z will be able to be non sense ui too.

the other difference is keyboard layout certain keys different as far as i know :) but everything else in terms of hardware is identical accept i beleive the G2 comes with 4GB internal memory and the desire z only 1.5GB but G2 customers have complained that they don't have 4g apparently :s

Actually... there IS a version that works in the US for AT&T's 3G banding, along w/ standard Edge support.

http://negrielectronics.com/htc-desire-z-8...g-unlocked.html - this is the actual store page where the device is sold...

Review is done here: http://pocketnow.com/android/htc-desire-z-...re-review-video

Unboxing here (this shows on the side of the box the support bands for the device): http://pocketnow.com/android/htc-desire-z-...-unboxing-video

I just ordered one today :rolleyes:

EDIT: Coupon code for $35 off: sb35offjkh
