Guest English Haze
Has anyone else noticed that the camera produces a mirror image?! Not very useful when scanning bar codes.

Guest removed-14
No one? Is it just mine then? I noticed but I'm not bothered. I'm sure there will be an app on tye market than can flip it back.
Guest Paul
Yep, it's mirrored on my 1.04 R2 with PP! P
Guest Bonuman
Should be an easy hack, I reckon.
Guest Paul
Hmmm, you have a thought on how to do it then I assume? P
Guest Bonuman
I'm not a dev, but I do know that a lot of embedded camera systems use a mostly standard API/NDK/framework/control system or how it's called. Usually this system allows one to manipulate the image, 'flip' and 'mirror', which change the pixel coordinates. For example: In a 1280x720 video, the pixel sitting at 1x1 moves to 1280x1 and backwards.
Guest Paul
I've had a look through the camera app and there's nothing obvious, which suggests it's in the camera library... P
Guest obb
To be fair I cant see the camera being used for anything other than taking the odd video and video chat (when skype eventually get it working) ....So does it really matter that much ... Taking pictures or scanning a bar code is kind of counter intuative as you have to be looking at the screen in the first place.
