Hi,

Got my Vega ordered, hopefully it should arrive on Tuesday/Wednesday. I was wondering if anyone who has one could answer the following. Does the HDMI output in HD resolution or is it showing a lower resolution upscaled.

I imagine it upscales the android launcher from the screens resolution, but does it play back HD Videos in 720p, or is this also upscaled from 1024x600?

Not sure on the exact details buy I encoded a copy of the BBC HD test cart to test it out, and the line pattern down the side is much higher res using HDMI compared to the vega screen so I believe it must be true 1080p. But probably only using the built-in opencore media framework

You can just record it off air if you have a PC with tuner card inside/attached via USB.

Can't get the drivers right for updating the Vega? See this thread
