I've just finished my mobile contract.

The mobile I've got is the HTC Touch HD

I'm thinking of getting the HTC Desire HD

reasons:

- 1ghz processor vs 1/2ghz (iirc)

- 1.5gb built in flash storage vs hardly any.

- change to a better OS (Android 2.2 Froyo)

Windows Mobile 6.1 on the Touch HD is dated.

the contract that has ended was from mobiles.co.uk.

18months 200mins 200txt on O2 had the Web bolt on from the start (Phoned up O2 and added it).

I'd rather get rid of O2 (get the PAC and move to another network)

Opinions?

Advice?

I'm just coming to the end of a contract with a Touch HD too, but SWMBO has a Desire. The lack of a proper sync with the Desire drives me potty (and it's much worse with non HTC droid phones as they don't have sync software) and I often end up with multiple duplicated entries on both Outlook calendar and contacts, BUT M$ appears to have completely lost the plot with Windoze 7 and there appears (to me) to be a serious lack of functionality- no SD card! WTF!!

iPhone is out of the window due to cost, so it may be that the HD2 is in the running for me again (had one for a few months) or the Desire HD.

The best deals are usually had at Mobiles.co.uk, with Orange deals usually the best value. Buy via Quidco as a referrer for extra dosh!
