Guest symond93 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 A malicious Android app that masquerades as a free version of a legitimate app steals data and sends spam text messages.The app, available on several file-sharing sites in North America and Asia that are known as clearinghouses for pirated software, is called Walk and Text.The app also displays a message that says "Application Not Licensed" and warns: "We really hope you learned something from this. Do any of you have any recomendations? Try 3G Watchdog Pro. Worth every penny. It has a "data usage by application" view; the data isn't always that accurate (because Android itself doesn't have particularly good metrics) but it works a treat for me on Froyo/Gingerbread.
