According to me, it's not worth updating, because the changes are minor, and a stable version of Android 2.2.1 (Cyanogenmod. For more info, visit this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857213) is available, although it's missing the FM Radio feature and the DivX and Xvid codecs.
