Hi, I stupidly updated OTA before realising I couldnt root it afterwards..

Im trying to following this guide, but I cant find the part where it says

I do, adb reboot bootloader, but I dont see on my phone where it says anything like HTC_XXX??

If I try to type, fastboot oem boot, I get an error saying,

The system cannot find message text for message number 0x2331 in the message file for Application.

Could anyone help me out here please

Hi,

I had the same. i think what you need to do is:
Install the android SDK
after the installations copy adb.exe, AdbWinUsbApi.dll, AdbWinApi.dll, and fastboot.exe to C:\Windows\ or c:\windows\system32

after you did this open a command promt and copy both lines in the promt
