Welcome to 'Paul's Featured Apps', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is...

Minimalist Text

What they say

Quote

Minimalistic Text is a widget app that displays information in a minimalistic way.
It can be configured to display time, date, battery and weather information. The layout of the widget is highly customizable through the layout editor.

Minimalistic Text is heavily inspired by BattStat and Clockr but adds extreme flexibility.
What we say

This is a brilliant widget that lets you display text on your homescreen in a very smart style. That text can be battery status, static text, weather, time, date... any number of things. But, best of all, it can be a Tasker variable - providing ultimate customisability! I use it to scrape some web page data using Tasker and display it on the homescreen! Awesome!

Permissions

Text Widget is also interesting, but not as good IMHO.

Suggested improvements for the next version

I would like to be able to generate tasker evens on the widget click.
