hi all i am new to this and rather stuck now

i have been using the following link to try and update my phone

How To Install Android 2.2 FroYo On The Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade From Scratch

My first problem was as i bought the phone of somebody else they still had there google account details logged in, i had to reset to factory settings to remove this.

I then had problems with not being able to download the es file explorer i tried powering the phone off e.t.c as described above

I have since realised i am now unable to send text messages since i started messing around, were do i go from here?

thanks for any help

dont no if this means anything to you guys but kernel version is showing 2.6.29 zte-kernel@zdroid-SMT and build version OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08

have tried again and once again get the error message "or

"Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone"

...you probably haven’t installed ES File Explorer. If you have installed it, try uninstalling and reinstalling – tinyurl.com/esfile

If you still receive the error message, turn off your phone and then turn it on again.

i have tried turning the phone on and off to no avail how do i uninstall previous installations?

any ideas thanks

try this,

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...eginners-guide/

I followed this on mine and girlfriends OSF just to remove all the crap, it took about 10 mins, she didn't want a custom rom on it. This will at least get you rooted and then you can go on to putting a rom on if you want, I've tried JJ9 and FLB and both are good but I'm still looking at others.

I would use a TPT image, like the JJ9 one http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-the-zte-blade/

extract the zip and you get an image folder, put the image folder on your sd card, turn phone off, hold volume + power phone on, and it will auto flash it.
