What is this?

after much testing the last days, i thought today would be the time to release my own from source build CM7 rom. It´ s mainly based on TomGs device tree and the latest Cyanogenmod CM7 sources.

I release this, because it is not a "repackaged again" rom from TomG´s builds and to have a way that we all can collect bugs and perhaps that way track them down asap. So please, if you find something that needs to be fixed, don´t hesitate to post a message or to suggest a fix yourself. That way we should get even closer to a official CM7 build or acceptance.

I´ll try to rebuild the ROM as often as possible ( if there are useful fixes or additions to be made )

Thanks to TomG and HCDRJacob for the great work so far, i hope we can speed up things this way.

Download the ROM

Current Version 02162011

Download: cyanogen_blade-ota-bblack-cm7-02162011.zip MD5: 369533f838866cb74893d5aa171abe24

Download Google Apps

There are no gapps included in the roms. Grab the appropriate hdpi package from here (at the bottom of the page).

Hope you enjoy this release and much more ppl will help to track the last bugs down.

regards,

Christian

What rom(s) did you extract the proprietary files from?

I built one late last night and used Tom's proprietary files from github and youtube hq worked right after installing gapps, without any need to pull anything in from anwhere else.

Thanks for uploading and for posting in the building thread, without everyone's experiences and help in there I probably would've failed on my build!

I used these too, to have the same entry point as Tom, that way we should have the things get sorted out faster.

Nice, I'd say that's probably the way to go. My build seems quite functional, the only issue I had was a lockup after exiting the video camera which was solved by a sleep/wake press of the power button.

Good idea. A very smooth CM7 already. As previously mentioned, touchscreen does freeze from time to time, not only after existing video camera, easy to fix though as indicated above. Phone also rebooted once when I unplugged the usb cable this morning.

Sure? Couldn´t reproduce this yet myself. But i´ll further test.

I have this problem, but it only happens after a while of being in call. If it is a quick call or I keep pulling the phone away from my face so the screen comes back on, then it is fine. But anything longer than say 3min in call the screen wont wake up after and have to do a battery pull. Hope this helps

EDIT: Also i am usign TFT

It was once on the CM7 beta4.1. Once the one who called me end the call, the screen of my phone is not activated, phone by pressing a button does not respond. Remove the batteries and put in and the phone is normally turn on.

please try to only list bugs that where reproducable with this rom. It´s not based on the one you tried. Try to confirm it with this one, only that way we will be able to track the bugs down!

Thank you!

Tried on your rom and cm7 4.1 and the bug happens in both

I think between your ROM and CM7 beta4.1 no difference now. If there is write them in the first post.

I might be wrong, but CM7 beta 4.1 what you talking about is only a repackaged beta3 with some additions?!This one here is build fr0m latest CM7 and TomGs Sources. Thats a difference, isn´t it? But it doesn´t really mind, might be the bug persists, but you didn´t even try, so please...

Nah, that's beta 4: http://android.modaco.com/index.php?s=&amp...t&p=1602244

also built from the source.

But it also didn't pull in the latest proprietary files from Tom G, hence the need for 4.1 with libs from a completely different rom to make youtube hq work. Maybe Tom used the same libs, maybe not.

It seems by the times of the posts, that Flibblesan added the libs to his zip and reuploaded and didn't do a completely new build for 4.1. There's nothing wrong with that by the way and I could be wrong, but the Roms could have differences.

Reboot after unplugging usb might also be a symptom of a badly calibrated battery. I've had this after fiddling with other roms.

For some reason this rom seems rly slow compared to the other 2.2 roms i used so far.

specialy when turning on the screen it seems to take realy long, anyone has an idea what might be causing this?

Tried 10 times now, and no reboots after unplugging usb.
