I want to basically have some sort of program that "displays" my phone on my PC and lets me interact with it as if I were using the real phone -- only on my PC.  Is this possible?

I've used VNC for this purpose on a rooted Nexus One.  Have a look at http://www.taranfx.c...hone-vnc-server

I have the SDK but that file doesn't seem to work for me.  How do I "ensure connectivity with adb"?

Connect the N1 with a USB cable, type "adb devices" into a command prompt and check if your phone is listed in the output.

LazyDroid Web Desktop - RC1

Amazing remote desktop! Similar to Remote Web Desktop - which I'm just installing
