FLB Froyo G2 Questions

Hi

I flashed the FLB-Froyo G2 for ZTE Blade (r10b) ROM, and after that the theme for it called Gingerbread Circle Mod. I have a few questions resulting from this.

1. In the notification "pull down" I have a miniature power control widget thingy...how do I get rid of this? I read somewhere that flashing the theme would get rid of this but apparently not.

2. When I had the stock ROM i would get a notification on the lockscreen for new text messages, not a pop up or anything, just a simple "1 New Message" underneath the clock. I was and still am using Handcent SMS if that makes a difference but I do not get this message any more, and am wondering how I can get it back.

EDIT: Flashing the Gingerbread add-on pack from the main FLB thread gets rid of the widget but also removes the circular battery icon...I want the circular battery icon, but with no notification area widget.

I really just want to get back to how I was when I started all of this, I had it set up exactly how I wanted, but after many many hours, my nandroid backups are all corrupted, I can't restore and I would really just like some help to get to what I would like... :D
