After you applied the perfmod?

I was quite surprised looking at cellopoly figures as he has a class 10...not much in the read speeds and as you said write is not that significant.

I wonder what his read speed would average after applying your mod :D

Running StreakDroid 1.9.0b5

write speeds: 32.1, 3.8, 34.5, 4.6, 26.4, 16.9, 30.0

read speeds 5.8, 25.1, 4.8, 5.8, 5.9, 4.0, 5.4

This is on a SanDisk 16gb class 2 (I think its the one that was included with the phone), I suppose worth mentioning that I'm OC'd to 1.113ghz.

So I guess I average

21.1mb write

8.1mb read

Something tells me this SD benching isn't very accurate, lol.

ok if anyone fancys testing with my tweaks run the following as root in a terminal (either adb or on device) the changes will only stick until a reboot though

echo 8192 > /sys/block/mmcblk1/queue/read_ahead_kb
echo 128 > /sys/block/mmcblk1/queue/max_sectors_kb[/code]

then rerun the bench

I did notice the sd tool app says they get weird readings after reboot. I ran the code from a terminal emulator on my phone . My phone was never shut off from the first initial runs.

Steve, looks like the mod is working

I tired playing with different settings

For me 2048 worked best

( sandisk 16gb class 2. ) ( have ordered lexar 32gb class 0... will see how it works )

increased the read speeds very good and a small improvement in the write...

Looks like this will come into the new version soon :D
