Guest Poodha Posted April 5, 2011 Report Share Posted April 5, 2011 I was just going to flash a ROM, and wiped the phone in clockwork(factory reset) and then did the wipe cache. But after chosing that, the phone is stuck on the animation of a letterbox and a droid. Have in mind that it's quite late here, and I'm not sure if I pressed anything wrong... Can I just pull the battery and boot again, or is there anything else I should do? Did you reboot after factory resetting but before flashing your ROM? I'm no expert, but I'd say remove your battery, boot into clockwork again, wipe cache, do a factory reset and then install the zip of the ROM you want to use. Once it's installed, back up a screen and reboot phone. Then give it 5-10 minutes to load. Good luck. *edit* I should stress that I'm a bit of a newb to this stuff myself, so I'm just going by what I'd do. It got stuck when I wiped cache partition. I've been flashing so many roms lately that I kind of got sloppy. Didn't pull out the charger this time. Anybody knows if that does a difference? Or can I harm anything by pulling the battery at this stage. It's been stuck on that animation for about 15-20minutes now, and I can't come up with anything else to do... Everything I've read about flashing in clockwork has given the indication that in situations like this, the thing to do is like you said, remove the battery and start again. Agreed. I think there is a software issue as I upgraded 2 blades 2 nights ago (TFT and OLED) with same rom side by side, same clockwork versions and both needed usb removing to get past the green man.
