Could you please tell us some more about your 'LITE' version?

How did you get it, what has changed, where is the catch?

Thank you very much in advance!

And please post it on XDA-developers, that Streak-Wiki can be updated.

Please note " If you have a file/version not listed here, please make a post on the forum

Note: Dell removes builds after they become obsolete, only newest builds will be available."

at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index...eak#Custom_Roms

And is it the same ROM as here? http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...-2-2-build-341/

341 is the most stable

- Can run heavy games

- Longest battery life:

Standby battery: 6% in 24 hours

Wifi/ 3G: 10% in 1 hour

Lite version (nandroid full backup)

Wifi /3G doesn't seem that great. I run 1.9 with Wifi and 3G on with sync on and with Exchange push mail. It'll last me over 24 hours if I'm not doing much with the phone other than checking the emails. 10% in 1 hour is very bad unless you're saying you surfing over wifi or 3G the whole time.

Just to confirm, is this rooted or rootable?

Would you say I would be able to play gameloft games better on this build than on streakdroid 1.9?

Also, how would I go about installing this over 1.9?

Regards

Just an fyi, this ROM is great and has been rock solid for a day. I usually drain to less than 10% daily, today it was 42%.

How do I get rid of the annoyiing sms pop up when someone sends me a text. I cant find the info anywhere...

If you have already used the rom, would you be able to confirm whether it is rooted or not? I am looking to test. If you can confirm, I have the rom downloaded and ready to put onto phone and will have a look at sms issue.

Similar to the above question-

1.) What are the differences from StreakDroid 1.9 ( I am not asking for - how is this better than 1.9. I am just asking for differences)

2.) How do I go about installing this over 1.9

3.) Does any one have any screen shots?

Thanks,

MadDog

Ok, some observations:

It's a nandroid backup, hence you can use recovery and/or fastboot from the PC to flash it onto the device. After doing this nothing from your earlier install survives, kind of irrelevant if you have before restoring it, as long you can handle the nandroid backup.

Furthermore the image is rooted, and works okay for me, the only glitch that I found was that google maps seems to use a different key than the google one => Market refuses to upgrade it.

Personally I prefer Streakdroid 1.9, but the above image seems to work fine.

Ok, I may be a bit thick but - it is in rar format so cannot install from recovery, nandroid (using streakdroid) does not recognise a rar file either, and if unpacked to clockworkmod\backup, again it is not recognised. Does it have to be through clockworkmod recovery, or am I missing something?

Yup - I'm thick - unpack to clockworkmod\backup and use clockworkmod recovery. working fabulously

And what baseband are you using to obtain wifi/3g~10% in 1 hour, and what is the screen brightness? I use your 341 recovery with 35100-EU baseband but on 3G i got 15% in 1/2hours baterry drain.

I installed version 354. It is not rooted, as it is an official AT&T build (Hong Kong).

I was able to root my phone immeidately after installing 354 with superuser.zip. If you don't know what this is:

For those who looking for Rooted Dell Streak version 354 this what you should do: 100% working on my Streak

My rooted Streak info:-

Android Version 2.2.2

baseband : GAUSB1A135411-US

KERNEL version : 2.6.32.9-perf

OEM : GAUSB1A135411

Build : 15881

1. Then copy over the file Superuser.zip Attachment 545097 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=545097) into

SD card. This is the Superuser app

2. Turn off your phone and flash to fastboot menu

3. unzip streakmod-recovery Attachment 545093 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=545093) to you computer

4. flash recover.img >> fastboot -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery-SU.img (or whatever you renamed the recovery file to)

5. reboot >> fastboot -i 0x413c reboot

6. go to recovery mode (volume rocker up+down+power button key)

7.select install ZIP from sdcard

8.select choose zip from sdcard

9.select superuser.zip file you downloaded earlier, and apply it

10.select yes - install superuser.zip

11.confirm it says "Install from sdcard complete"

12.select go back

13.select reboot

14.done!
