Wipe and backup again.

Wipe and backup again.

....which may not be the most appropriate answer to this question (sounds a little shortsighted). I have the same problem, which leads to me not being able to get back to the stock ROM in case of problems, because the backup functionality is not working as it should. Luckily, Fr11 is working more or less perfectly, so I'm glad this turns out to be an academic problem, to me at least.

Grrrr.....

Meant Wipe and restore again....

If that doesnt solve the problem, use advanced restore and restore item by item....

me too

recovery backup doesn't work

I've never had a good experience using backup in CWM on my blade. On the blade there is an alternative to CWM called recovery-RA and that ALWAYS worked. So I'm leaning towards the fact that the backup/restore in CWM is not that good compared to other boot loaders.

Hahaha, didn't mean to offend. Sorry if I did. English is not my native language, so I might have missed a nuance. Re-wipe and restore backup doesn't work either. But as I said, I'm not a real 'victim' here, because Fr11 does its job.

To get back to a nandroid-backup of stock, you need to reformat the system to ext3 before restoring (this will also wipe.)

You can find the required file somewhere in the forums (took me a while, be prepared to search a bit.) It's called "r1-backtoext3-2x-unsigned"

Sooo,

1) Boot into clockworkmod.

2) Install zip - choose "r1-backto..."

3) Restore from nandroid-backup.

4) reboot and enjoy your old phone.
