I forgot my gmail account password on my racer and I was wondering is there a way to extract this password from gmail app on the phone. I can still log on in this account because the phone's app remembered password but I can't see what that password is.

youll need root or adb browse to data/system/accounts.db open it and click accounts  there you should see your google password

Thanks, I got the access to the password field but it is encrypted. Any idea on how to decrypt it? It is on the following format:

1/XXXXXX-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX_XXX-XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXX

If there was a way to decrypt password files there wouldn't be much point having a password protected system.
You could try - https://accounts.goo.../RecoverAccount
