Guest a_friend Posted May 7, 2011 Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) At first I thought the battery calibration was the problem not having flashed the KDD from KDA the phone gets rather warm before I get the Battery Low warning message and then the phone switches off. At the moment the battery if fully charged and the phone has cooled down, I just done a factory reset andi still have the same problem. I was on KDA and now moved to KDD and the phone has been running all day. I still get the battery low message but I beleive its related an heat issue as the top half off the phone does get hot. Guest Curium Posted May 28, 2011 Report Share Posted May 28, 2011 I have the exact same issue. Also went back with the phone, got a new one and it still reboots from time to time. Don't know what to do next, go back with it again? Now did a factory reset, will see how it goes. Also seen in other threads that there should be a new firmware out "KE7", I have "KE2". Guest Curium Posted June 12, 2011 Report Share Posted June 12, 2011 hmmm...don't know what setCPU is? Don't use it. But I went back with the second phone as well. Now with the 3rd phone I decided NOT to do a restore from my google account when asked in the setup the first time you turn the phone on. Instead I installed all the apps I use manually from the Market. Now this phone has worked without a problem. Also I skipped the app "Advanced Task Killer", however I uninstalled this app in the second phone as well. So my best guess right now is to do a factory reset and NOT to restore anything from the google account. ...on a side note...It seams that this phone, with the current firmware (XWKE2) has an issue with a service called "Wi-Fi sharing". This service will start, randomly it seams, and consume 50-60% of the CPU which in turn makes the phone extremely hot and drains the battery in no time. This might also be a part of the problem with the rebooting. To solve this, first root the phone and then get the app "Titanium backup" (or the app of your choice) to freeze the service "Wi-Fi sharing". So I'm not really sure if it was the new phone or the actions described above, but now my phone works like a charm! ;) Hope this helps everyone else having the same problem.
