Anybody worked around stock libcamera.so putting 2002:12:08 12:00:00 as the exif date?

The Camera application writes only GPS info to the image, everything else is handled by libcamera.so.

The library contains the reference to "2002:12:08" string which is the fake date part. Has anybody had any success in disassembling&patching the library/replacing it with CodeAurora build and it is writing the correct EXIF date for you?

Even Acer Iconia (S300) is setting 2002:12:08 as the Digitized date, so it is definitely a bug in Acer code.

Created a service that patches EXIF DateTime/CreateDate and GPS timestamps right on the phone and published to Google Play - Acer EXIF Fixup
