I can't compare it with other phones as I have only my Omnia to experiment? However, I have seen other phones with my friends like Samasung Glaxy, HTC, Nokia touch screen etc. But there is no point in comparing these new phone with our old omnia.

Is it like a capacitive one ? Can I simply use my FINGER and NOT MY NAIL  ??

No it is not capacitive. It is resistive (hardware wise). Yes you can use it with your fingers and not with your nail.
