I'm having the exact same problem, any help would be appreciated. I can get it to flash on OK but it's non-responsive to either the key combo or quickboot. Any suggestions?

I tried the 0.6 version and that works fine.

I sussed it Tibby.  My wife just got one of these phones, later revision than mine (April instead of February) at first I thought it may have been a later revision issue but it isn't.

What you have to do is actually install the official leak of Acer 2.3.4 Gingerbread on your phone first, then retry Vache Recovery 2.2 Installation, it then works, you can then go ahead and install the Gingerounay custom version.

Here is the link to the Official Acer 2.3.4 Rom, just unzip that folder to your SD card and follow the instructions from this link.  Once that is installed go ahead with installing Vache Recovery 2.2.

Having problems getting this working on windows 7 64bit, any known problems with drivers ? The phone doesn't do anything? shouldn't it reboot?

Sorry I'm not sure if is the same leak.. For sure is 2.3.5 but I don't know if is aap version :/

Hi, I am new to the Liquid MT although this is the fourth Andriod I have had (G1, Blade, Z71, now this).  Blade was good, but got nicked in Indonesia Z71 ok, ish (it works on 850Mhz 3G in Thailand which is what I use it for). Metal using in the UK.

I can reboot into recovery using adb boot recovery, but is there no key sequence to do it? If not I assume you get some app to allow you to boot into recovery? If so, anyone have a recommend?

I did the acer_ug from 2.2 to 2.3.4 (3.027.01 gen1 emea) then applied the 2.2 recovery. Since I am running the Acer rom, they don't have a reboot into recovery option like CM, etc.

key combination for recovery is the following: Volume Up + Volume Down + Focus + Power => Release Focus & press it again, otherwise download "Quick Boot" because the key combination is quite hard..

I just installed the leak 4.000.07 on my Liquid Metal. Then I wanted to install the recovery 2.2 in order to install Ginger_dmd_4.000.07_aosp.
But when I launch "install_recovery.cmd" my computer does not find my device. Please notice that I obviously activated Debug USB on my phone.
I also want to say that I have already installed the recovery many times for all the custom ROMs and it always worked fine.
I use the same PC (win 7 64bits). I have rebooted my phone several times.
Does anyone has an idea ?

Everything is fine..
Used 2.2 recovery.
But I can't see any icon of this app in my phone..
Is there any procure for run in recovery ?
And link of 2.0.recovery is not working..

You use it before you boot up your phone to flash ROM's.

As i said, i m using adriod 2.2 stock which comes with my phone.
I m from india, AAP.
I tried as u said but phone is stucking at startup, coming just acer and black screen.
What to do now ?
