I does seem a common design fault if you google around. It certainly does seem "dirtier" than my old OSF. But maybe I'm getting old and/or lazy as will just live with it! :)

Hi, I had the same problem with my optimus 1 p500, after owning for 2 -3 weeks i noticed a bit of dust on the bottom of the screen, i thought at first it was under the screen protector, but to my annoyance it was still there when i removed it ! so i did a bit of research and found a few posts like yours concerning the problem, so i just took the phone apart and cleaned it, and when replacing the (sorry dont know the technical names of all the parts) touchpad ckear screen that goes over the lcd screen i sealed around the edge with a very small amount of rubber solution cement !! just used a toothpick and smeared a little along each join line- its quite runny and it seeped in a fraction, i have not had and further dust appear, and this was 6 months ago i did the fix, i think i found a site that showed exactly how the phones come apart, so fairly easy if you are good at that sort of thing have fun jj
