Gameloft are one of the most sucessful developers taking already excellent console gaming and making it accessible for 'mobile gamers. Titles such a Assassin's Creed which won Mobile Game of the Year Awad 2007 from Spike TV and Asphalt 4:Elite Racing winning Best Racing/Driving Game in 2008 from IGN Awards. It shouldn't come as a suprise as Gameloft was founded by the Guillemot brothers, founders and owners of video games leader Ubisoft.

This is where I am going to post any news / articles / reviews of Gameloft games and any relevant links to keep you all up to date with what Gameloft have in store for us.

Just today I received a press release from Gameloft announcing three new titles on Android Market.

Clasic card game UNO has been released for high end smartphones today featuring HD graphics and an OM mode. Lower spec 'phones can still download the 2D version from the same place as link below and through Gameloft store.

Gameloft have reached 1,000,000 fans on Facebook!!!

It is not surprising as they continue to develop visually stunning HD graphics on games that we've known and loved from console; like Assasin's Creed, and facing the challenge of turning them 'mobile playable and making it look like childsplay.

It s a fact that they make the best games for android, and any other device.

In my opinion, on the other side, it s frustrating that only 1 company makes the best games.

There should be competition.

Mobilegame publisher Gamesoft has announced a new subscription modelfor android phones.

Gameloft Club will charge £0.99 per week inreturn for one game from Game loft’s back catalogue - a saving of 66 per centon the publisher's normal prices.

The service is being tested in the UK, and iscurrently limited to Android HD+ devices. Gameloft is offering earlysubscribers one free game as an incentive.

In the past, Gameloft has been vocal about thedifficulty of making money with Android, predicting in November 2009 thatpublishers would begin to cut investment in the platform.

However, Android has grown rapidly since then, with a recent NDP group report suggesting that it nowrepresents 52 per cent of the US mobile market.
