HTC Sensation Special Edition, the luxury version of the popular HTC Sensation smartphone model, comes with a faster processor and Beats technology, for a superior audio experience.

Qualcomm 8260 CPU is a dual-core model at 1.5 GHz, with 768 MB RAM. To install the applications, we have 4 GB memory available, as opposed to only 1 GB for the standard model.

For $850 we get 8GB more of internal memory, 1,730 mAh battery for extended battery life and an intra-aural headset with superior performance.

The Beats by Dr. Dre headset, with a retail value of approximately $119, includes a small remote control, wire mounted, which we can use to change songs without having to look in the pocket for the phone.

The rest of the specifications listed for the Special Edition of HTC Sensation remain unchanged.

The smartphone comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, the HTC Sense 3.0 interface, rendered at 540 x 960 pixels resolution on the surface of a 4.3-inch capacitive screen S-LCD technology.

The 8MP camera has a dual-LED flash and can record video at 1080p. Above the screen we can find a second VGA resolution camera used for video calls.

HTC Sensation Special Edition could be officially announced in the coming days, at the IFA 2011 event, the trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances that will be held in Berlin starting tomorrow.
