in 2.3.5 there is a bug in security.. so google stopped companies (including acer) in upgrading to 2.3.5..acer is waiting for google permission ;)

afaik 2.3.5 is done, also 3.2 for А500/501 and 2.3 for mini :)

instead of 2.3.5 personally i prefer acer to give kernel sources for 2.3.4 roms

The whole thing looks to me like a bad move. I'm sure we'll never see any official ROM > froyo ...

But the development and the leaking will continue, so Acer will never release any newer kernel sources and most customers will be happy.

Instead of using those (acer-placed) leaks, we should prompt Acer, no more violating the GPL or encourage some people here, not publishing leaks without kernel sources, since those are violating the GPL too.

I think they will public kernel source when they have optimized it..

Sure they have to make some change to adapt at Metal hardware and that change has to be tested to get a full working device;)

I think we should wait for an official 2.3 release. Only then should we prompt them to release the sources IMO.
