Using 2.1 on O2 my data consumption is running at 250Mb a dayand I do not know what it is. Any ideas how to control  this?  
Just spoken with O2 who will to slow my data usage if I can not reduce it. I have used my SF happily for 8 months and then this kicked in a month ago.

Is your phone an Orange San Francisco?  If so you're posting in the wrong forum - you need the ZTE blade forum.

You could use a firewall app like Droidwall (free on market), set up rules to allow data usage only for apps that you want to use data, and enable logging to determine which apps are asking for lots of data.  Your phone needs to be rooted for this.
