Hello I have the Optimus c550 Ch@T android mobile phone running stock 2.2.2 rom.  C550.jpg   27.28K   3 downloads Great phone love the pull out qwerty keyboard but I am finding incoming call ringer a pain because when someone calls me the ringer starts off very low and then ramps up to full volume after quite a few settings so I wonder if anyone know of an APK file I could use to mke ringer full without ascending from the start?

- have been into sound settings and nothing to enable or disable ascending ringtone in settings. Have delved into googling for a solution and found phone.apk full ringtone mod so backed up my original phone.apk file as phone.apkold and installed the modded phone.apk - restarted phone but the phone would not log onto mobile gprs network, no network at all, went into settings and chose mobile network but phone just crashed with force close button every time.

Lucky I backed up original phone.apk file and put that back in restarted phone and it logged onto mobile phone network fine - but of course I am back to square one now with ascending ringtones. Anyone got solutions please? Was gonna post this into LG c550 Chat section but there aint one so put it in here sorry if it upsets things.

Hi Andy, does the ascending ring apply to every ringtone you have? This is a shot in the dark, but if you create a folder called "notifications" on your micro SD card or on the internal storage if you don't have an external card. In that folder you can put any ringtone you like and the system will pick it up, and then you can select a new non ascending ringtone. Unfortunately without access to the ROM you have only another Optimus c550 can really help you. Sorry.
